Nicollet Public School is a modern Pre-K through 12 facility built in 1987. A major expansion in 2005 added an Early Childhood Center and the Nicollet Community Center that includes a gymnasium, fitness center and theatre/auditorium. The school emphasizes new technology and scores above the state average in academic achievement.

Additionally, the public school aids the transition to higher education. It provides community education courses and a 2-year college program with over 45 semester credits of general education. 1 state university, 3 colleges, 1 technical college and multiple business and trade schools are located within 15 minutes of Nicollet.

Nicollet’s city and rural churches serve the spiritual needs of its people and are an important part of the town’s social structure. The two area Lutheran churches also operate Pre-K through 8 programs of parochial education.
